Introducing Fusion Community Focus at the Open Door Mission

As a traveler, your journey will likely take you to different parts of the country, and you impact people’s lives in helpful and meaningful ways each day. It is our desire that all Fusion employees have a passion for caring for the genuine needs of people. When we hire, we strive to find employees, both travelers and management staff, who are empathetic. In an effort to express our caring spirit and form a community with you, we have decided to start Fusion Community Focus. The mission of Fusion Community Focus is to enable employees to collaborate in dedicating time, service, and commitment to positive change in our communities, by being actively involved in non-profit and community service. We seek employees who will care for others beyond what is contained in their contract.

Internally, we have begun this emphasis on service by having each Fusion office member give two hours of service to the Open Door Mission. The Open Door Mission provides basic needs and programs for the homeless and needy. Fusion assisted the Open Door Mission by making 700 sack lunches. The food items that went into the lunches were donated by local grocery stores, bakeries, and supercenters. The second part of this outreach consisted of donations of winter clothing from the community. These items were sorted and sized, then given to the poor and needy at the Timberlake Outreach Center in Omaha. This service project was very meaningful and inspiring service for all who participated. There are over 2,000 homeless in the Omaha community, and the holidays always make us more mindful of the less fortunate. We are asking you to consider the needs of these people throughout the year.
