We brought back an old fav in 2025: Fusion’s Traveler of the Month. Twelve amazing travelers, one for each month, obviously, were honored with the title this year, and we are so excited to brag on them. *Warning* Reading this will give you the warm and fuzzies while also motivating you to be the most caring, driven version of yourself possible!
Introducing Fusion's 2025 Travelers of the Month
January: Regina Gerick
Our first shining star of the year was Regina, a PACU RN who has traveled with Fusion for nine years. Regina’s Recruiter, Jess, nominated her because of her impeccable work over nearly a decade.
“Regina’s dedication to providing top-notch patient care and maintaining the highest standards in her role as a PACU RN has not gone unnoticed,” said Jess Casper, Regina’s recruiter. “The feedback we’ve received about Regina over the years has been nothing short of glowing. From patients feeling comforted by her compassion to colleagues praising her professionalism and teamwork, Regina has consistently demonstrated excellence in everything she does. She has set a high bar not just for travel nurses but for all healthcare professionals. Staying with Fusion for nine years as a travel nurse is no small commitment, and it speaks volumes about her loyalty, adaptability, and passion for making a difference. Regina has truly been a cornerstone of our success, and her dedication inspires everyone around her. It’s an honor to have someone of her caliber on our team. I look forward to many more years of friendship and celebrating even more milestones together!”
February: Angela Passmore
Our February honoree was Angela, an LPN that facilities just can’t get enough of. Angela was nominated by her recruiter Geoffrey.
“Angela’s impact on both residents and staff was so profound at her assignment that the facility has continuously sought to bring her back for additional contracts. However, due to her outstanding reputation and high demand, aligning schedules has proven challenging, as the facilities where she works consistently strive to retain her services for as long as possible,” said Geoffrey Green, Angela’s recruiter, “Her ability to integrate into new environments, provide compassionate care, and uphold the highest standards of nursing has set her apart as a valued professional. It is a testament to her skills and work ethic that facilities not only request her return but also prioritize securing her availability. In fact, my facility recently expressed that the next time Angela is available, they would offer her an assignment even if there isn’t an immediate staffing need—an acknowledgment of the exceptional quality of care she delivers and the positive impact she has on both patients and colleagues. Angela’s commitment to excellence continues to make her an asset to any healthcare team, and those who have had the privilege of working with her recognize the difference she makes in the lives of those she serves.”

March: James Morrison
Our March honoree was James, a dietician who was nominated by our clinical liaison, Katie, for prioritizing his patients.
“I am so impressed by James and his professionalism and dedication to his patients,” said Katie Anvari, clinical liaison. “He clearly goes above and beyond to ensure that his patients get the best quality of care. His ability to navigate challenges with patience and professionalism reflects the values we strive for at Fusion. I am grateful for his positive impact!”
April: Cindy Tharp
Our spotlight was on Cindy in April. Cindy, an MDS Coordinator who impressed her facility so much, she got a promotion. She was nominated by her recruiter, Sarah.
“Cindy started with us back in January as an MDS Coordinator, and we immediately received high praise from the facility when she started,” Recruiter Sarah Porter said. “As we all know, long term care facilities can be somewhat challenging, but Cindy jumped right in! She has worked with the facility to improve processes and the standard of care provided to residents, as well as correcting any clinical concerns. The facility was so impressed with Cindy that they asked her to move into the Director of Nursing role temporarily, and Cindy has continued her hard work. Cindy not only provides a high standard of care, but she has true compassion for the work she does, the residents and the people she works with day in and day out.”
May: Tiffany Hunt
Tiffany was celebrated in May because of the gratitude that was shared from the family of one of her patients. They said, “With someone who gives so much during the day to their patients, how she doesn’t just go home and collapse is a mystery. But she’s here day after day, meeting the needs of everyone.”
“In her two years working with Tabitha through Fusion, Tiffany has served across multiple locations and stepped into various roles — including Charge Nurse and Director of Nursing. Her adaptability, leadership, and unwavering commitment to patient care make her an outstanding representative of what it means to be a nurse at Tabitha and, more importantly, a representative of Fusion,” said Chiara Torres, Tiffany’s recruiter. “Tiffany leads by example, consistently showing up with compassion, resilience, and professionalism, no matter the assignment. Her ability to seamlessly transition between roles and settings highlights not only her clinical expertise but her dedication to supporting both patients and her fellow team members.”
June: Brandy Planter
Brandy was our June Traveler of the Month and was actually nominated by four people, including her recruiter, client manager, coworker, and leader at her facility.
“Although she is not a permanent employee, Brandy has become a key team member in the NICU, where her expertise and calm demeanor have made her the preferred trainer for all new hires,” said her supervisor at her assignment. “Her ability to guide and support incoming staff has significantly enhanced onboarding efficiency and overall team confidence. Her knowledge, attention to detail, and nurturing approach make her an invaluable resource, especially in high-acuity, high-pressure environments like the NICU. And, they most recently have hired a few new grads, so having Brandy on board to train has been such an asset to their team.”
July: Dianna Hill
Diana was celebrated in July for being an amazing home health traveler and having a great attitude when helping out.

“Diana has been an exceptional Home Health traveler with Fusion, said her recruiter Becki Johnson. “Her flexibility, excellent communication, and commitment to her patients make her one of my favorite travelers! She consistently goes above and beyond, is willing to float wherever she is needed, and works so hard to fill in wherever she can. She is a phenomenal nurse and a genuinely wonderful human being. We’re so lucky to have her on the Fusion team!”
August: Donna Wohlers
Donna was the star of the month in August. She was nominated by her recruiter and compliance specialist for having an attitude of adventure.

“I don’t have enough great things to say about Donna! She has been absolutely fantastic to work with; she is enthusiastic about her career and is liked by each facility and the employees she works with,” said Donna’s recruiter, Matt Gay. “Donna loves the adventure of traveling and visiting new locations. Her communication, hard work, and dedication to her profession make her an absolute joy to work with.”
“Donna is so wonderful, said Cheri Odell, Compliance Specialist. "She is super responsive, positive, and friendly. I appreciate her willingness to get compliance done quickly.”
September: Corrina Simon
The spotlight was on Corrina in September. She was nominated by multiple people she works with at Fusion for being the gold standard when it comes to communication and being on top of your stuff!

“Corinna is the most humble, driven and positive person I know! Corinna has been with Fusion for a little over 2 years and has been a phenomenal traveler, showing grit and grace with everything she does,” said Shafer Fox, Corrina’s recruiter. “Even when she finds herself in less-than-ideal work environments, she pushes forward and does her best for the facility every day. I feel honored to have her on my team and blessed to say she has become a life-long friend.”
“It’s always so great to work with Corinna! She was always communicative & efficient with compliance," said Fusion team member Megan Sitzman. "I never had to ask Corinna multiple times for something. She is always on the ball!”
October: Donna Quesenberry
Donna’s recruiter nominated her to be recognized in October because of her incredible impact on those she meets and works with as well as her ability to make deep relationships along the way.
“I’m so happy Donna Quesenberry is being honored as Fusion’s traveler of the month,” said Jess Wieseler, Donna’s recruiter. “She had been on assignment with the same home health facility for nearly two years — a true testament to the incredible impact she’s made and the strong relationships she’s built along the way. It’s clear that Donna is deeply passionate about patient care. She brings genuine compassion, professionalism, and consistency to every visit, treating each patient as if they were her own family. Her long-term commitment to this facility says everything about her work ethic and the trust she’s earned from staff and patients alike. She’s become an integral part of the team — not just someone filling a role, but someone making a real difference. Donna is the kind of nurse who reminds us why we do what we do- ensuring we improve the lives of everyone they touch. She doesn’t just care for people — she cares about them, and that shines through in every aspect of her work. We’re so lucky to have her as part of our traveler family, and I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this recognition.”
November: Elizabeth Pollard
In November, the team sent kudos to Elizabeth for being an exemplary nurse and overall person. Her team at her assignment has praised her for life-saving attention to detail.
“Elizabeth was managing a complex postoperative neurosurgical patient and caught a very subtle neuro exam change from the patient’s baseline,” said her team at Boston Medical Center. “She correctly identified this as a possible seizure and immediately notified the primary team; upon further evaluation, the patient’s clinical condition quickly declined, requiring IV medication administration, hemodynamic stabilization, and transfer to a higher level of care. Without Elizabeth Pollard’s insight and rapid action, this diagnosis/management may have been delayed or missed. Her actions allowed us to proactively manage his condition in a timely manner.”
December: Nicole Dunovsky
Nicole was the final traveler given the title of Traveler of the Month for 2025. Two Fusion team members nominated her for being a person who genuinely cares for people and represents Fusion in the most amazing way.
“Nicole has helped her facility build their infectious disease testing and quarantine system based on CDC guidelines, stepped in to cover call-outs, and gives some of the best patient care,” said her recruiter, Wes Thompson. “On top of all that, she travels back to Nebraska on her off days to care for her grandpa and helps run a cattle ranch in the Sandhills.”
“Nicole is an outstanding representative of Fusion and a true professional in every sense! Her dedication, reliability, and positive attitude have made a lasting impact on both current and previous assignments,” said Ben Radel, Fusion client manager. “Everyone who works with Nicole has nothing but the absolute best things to say! It is clear that her commitment to excellence reflects the values we strive for at Fusion.”
Three cheers to all of our 2025 Travelers of the Month! We're lucky to have them on the Fusion team, and we can't wait to see what they accomplish next. Traveler of the Month is going strong in 2026. We hope we get the chance to hear your story next.
