CA Healthcare Worker Minimum Wage Increase: What Travelers Should Know

About the California healthcare worker minimum wage update

ICYMI, California recently passed some important legislation to add sections to the Labor Code that boosts the minimum wage for employees working at certain healthcare facilities. Covered health care facilities under this new law may include some hospitals and hospital systems, dialysis clinics, residential care settings, and outpatient clinics; eligible California health care workers are those providing health care services or “services supporting the provision of health care.”

In other words, allied and travel nursing jobs that require patient care at covered health care facilities in California may be eligible for higher minimum wage rates.
