Compassion in Care Scholarship: How Fusion Empowers Nursing Students

What is the Compassion in Care Scholarship?

We’re on a mission to improve the lives of everyone we touch and refresh healthcare, and our Compassion in Care Scholarship allows us to do both.

We understand the financial barriers that often deter talented individuals from pursuing their nursing education and we know first-hand the essential role that nurses play in our healthcare system. That’s why we created the Compassion in Care Scholarship to provide increased financial aid for nursing students.

Through this scholarship, 10 nursing students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree are awarded $5,000 each per school year, which can be renewed for up to four years. Additionally, winners are matched with a Fusion mentor who has completed their BSN to help support them during nursing school.

Nursing scholarships and financial aid not only foster a new generation of compassionate caregivers but the Compassion in Care Scholarship also reflects our belief that every aspiring nurse deserves the opportunity to follow their dreams and contribute to a healthier, more caring world.

Who’s eligible for Fusion’s nursing scholarship?

Good news: the Compassion in Care nursing scholarship is open to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in a BSN educational program. That means we accept nursing students from all years of school in all nursing specialties.

How do nursing students apply for the Compassion in Care Scholarship program?

Nursing school is tough enough, so we make applying for financial support as easy as possible.

To apply for the Compassion in Care nursing scholarship, you must fill out an online form, answer essay questions, provide proof of acceptance or enrollment as a full-time nursing student, and submit before February 28, 2025.

How long are the Compassion in Care Scholarship applications open?

You can apply for the Compassion in Care Scholarship between November 1, 2024 and February 28, 2025. Award winners for the 2025-2026 school year will be announced in the spring of 2025.
