The Traveling Hearts Award is a distinct recognition at Fusion, created to honor healthcare professionals who embody our core purpose: improving the lives of everyone we touch.

This prestigious award celebrates those who consistently raise the bar in their dedication to patient care, making a significant impact on the communities they serve. Every year, we select one exceptional travel nurse and one outstanding allied health traveler who have demonstrated unwavering commitment, compassion, and excellence in their work.

“To me, a ‘Traveling Heart’ is just somebody who goes above and beyond in their job,” said Fusion Medical Staffing Long-Term Care Recruiter Blake Headley. “I mean, anyone can plug and play at a hospital or any long-term care setting, but the people that truly dive in and make their facility a better place than before they went in there. That’s what a ‘Traveling Heart’ really is to me.”

These individuals are not only skilled professionals but also inspiring role models who elevate the standard of care and exhibit the heart of what it means to be a healthcare traveler. The Traveling Hearts Award is our way of showing our deep appreciation for you and highlighting the difference you make every day.

Who’s eligible for the Traveling Hearts Award?

This award is open to all Fusion healthcare travelers who consistently model empathy and display extraordinary compassion, as well as a positive attitude in their career.

To be eligible, you must have completed at least one assignment with us and be either a current nursing traveler or an allied health traveler with Fusion. Additionally, you must exemplify the values that drive us, which includes going above and beyond in areas such as:

Direct patient care
Initiative and drive
Mentorship and collaboration
High ethical standards and integrity
Fusion’s core values of being humble, driven, and positive
Refreshing healthcare

You’re an expert at caring for others; we’re an expert at caring for you, and the Fusion Traveling Hearts Award is a small token of our appreciation for you.

How can I apply for Fusion’s healthcare traveler award?

Know a healthcare traveler that demonstrates extraordinary clinical skills? Is that you? Fill out a Traveling Hearts Award application!

Simply fill out the online nomination form, providing the nominee’s name, contact information, and a brief description of how they deliver compassionate care, refresh healthcare, and live our core values of being humble, driven, and positive. Nominations can be submitted by healthcare professionals themselves, their recruiter, facility leaders, or even patients.

Once we have your Traveling Hearts Award application, our team will review and select the deserving winners! Both winners, one travel nurse and one allied health traveler, will be celebrated with $2,000 each, in addition to well-earned praise and gratitude.

How long is the Traveling Hearts Award application open?

The Traveling Hearts Award online nomination form opened January 1, 2025, and will remain open through March 31, 2025!
